So we have our Architect, what’s next?…

They have given us a rough idea of programe:

    • Schematic Design:  6 weeks
    • Design Development:  6 weeks
    • Contract Documentation: 8 weeks
    • Tendering:  3.5 weeks
    • Construction:  6 to 8 months

Note:  The above excludes any time taken in Town Planning

Step 01 is for your Architect to help you engage a land surveyor to complete the following:

    • Features and Level Survey
    • AHD Level Connection Survey
    • Title Re-establishment Survey

The above should cost around $2000

Now I couldn’t pass up on another opportunity to share one of my favourite homes – Small House.  (It feels like its been a while!)  Small House by Architect/Owner Domenic Alvaro is located in inner city Surry Hills, Sydney, on a site of just 7.0m x 6.0m!  It was inspired by Japanese architecture – where houses are often designed as vertical homes.  It also expolores the use of precast concrete and even has a rooftop garden!  Who wouldn’t want to live in vertical spaces after seeing this home!  x
